Event Type: FAMILY/ALL AGES PROGRAM - REGISTERED|
Start Time: 2:00 PM
End Time: 3:15 PM
Where does chocolate come from? Find out as Elizabeth Zunon reads “Grandpa Cacao: a Tale of Chocolate, from Farm to Family”, her first authored-illustrated picture book inspired by the life of the grandfather she never met. A cacao and chocolate show and tell will follow, and attendees will also get to decorate their own chocolate bar wrapper to take home!
Our neighbors at Candy Kraft Candies are kindly donating some chocolates too!
The author will have her books for sale at this event.
Space and supplies are limited, so you must register each child for this program.
Drawing and painting have always been among the most important things to illustrator Elizabeth Zunon. Born in Albany, NY and raised in the Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), West Africa, she cultivated a love of color and pattern, which are fixtures in her works today. After returning to the United States, Elizabeth attended Guilderland Central High School and the Rhode Island School of Design. Her twelfth illustrated children's book, “Grandpa Cacao: a Tale of Chocolate, from Farm to Family” (Bloomsbury), was published in May 2019.
