|Drug Take Back Day w/the Guilderland Police Department|

The Guilderland Public Library and the Guilderland Police Department are teaming up for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's nationwide Drug Take-Back Day, a one-day collaborative effort between the DEA and state and local law enforcement agencies focused on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from our nationís medicine cabinets.
This drive through event is scheduled to be held in the library's auxiliary parking lot.
However, due to construction the location of the event may change. Please check back.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Put your medications in a bag, if possible.
-Wear a mask covering your nose and mouth.
-Put bagged medications in a place that you can easily access while remaining in your vehicle, or place the bag in your trunk so an officer may retrieve it.
-Drive through to the drop off point and stay in your vehicle.
-Follow the officers' instructions.
Medications may be turned in to the police officers in the library's auxiliary parking lot from 10am to 2pm on April 24 only.
What CAN be disposed:
-Controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter substances.
-Medication in its original container or removed from its container and disposed of directly into the disposal boxes.
What CANNOT be disposed:
-No sharps and syringes.
Drug Take Back Day officials will not ask questions of nor request identification from anyone.
