Event Type: ADULT PROGRAM - REGISTERED Date: 2/24/2021 Start Time: 6:30 PM End Time: 7:30 PM Description: The New York State Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL) is a free library service for residents in Upstate New York who have difficulty reading standard print due to blindness, low vision, a diagnosed reading disability, or a physical disability. GPL welcomes librarian Jane Bentley, who will provide an overview of TBBL services, discuss eligibility, and explain how patrons can access books and magazines.
This program is also suitable for librarians, professionals working with low vision or disabled clients, and parents or caregivers of children with low vision, diagnosed reading disability, or physical disability. Jane Bentley is a Senior Librarian with the New York State Talking Book and Braille Library. Jane provides support and training to library patrons. She also offers outreach services to community groups and institutions such as schools and libraries. This will be held virtually using Zoom. Please provide an email address when registering.
