  The “Village” movement was founded with the idea of “neighbors helping neighbors” with the goal of seniors remaining independent in their homes. Villages are membership-driven, grassroots, nonprofit organizations run by volunteers and/or paid staff that coordinate access to a variety of services including transportation, home repairs, and social events.
