 Join Marty Appel,former public relations director of the New York Yankees, and their Emmy-award winning television producer, for a talk on his latest book "Baseball's Greatest Character: Casey Stengel." Appel is the author of 24 books on baseball, and is generally regarded as the leading historian on the Yankees. His most recent books include Pinstripe Empire: The New York Yankees From Before the Babe to After the Boss (and the children's version, Pinstripe Pride), and Munson: The Life and Death of a Yankee Captain. A lifelong New Yorker, he is the "last man standing" who worked in the original Yankee Stadium, and who was there when Mickey Mantle was an active player.
